The AP122 is the first wall plate form factor 2-stream 802.11ac access point to be announced. The need for such specialized 802.11ac solutions is growing because of the demand for dorm, hospital, and hotel in-room high-performance Wi-Fi connectivity. The AP122 is capable of supporting legacy and new 802.11ac Wi-Fi devices with an aggregate data rate of 1.2 Gbps. The low-cost and small profile easily installs in any room with an Ethernet cable drop in the wall, and provides localized gigabit speeds to mobile devices within the room. With the embedded Ethernet and pass-through ports, the AP122 can also support a PBX-connected digital phone, IP-phone, IPTV, or other IP devices.
Meru offers the broadest range of 802.11ac solutions in the market today: high or medium range performance, with standard AP or wall plate form factors; solutions that lets you choose what works best for you.
